15 Jun Meet our new Marketing and Sales Assistant

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Marketing and Sales Assistant, Emma Tyler.

Emma, 22, has joined our Delapré Abbey office-based team for the summer and, alongside this new role – which will see Emma work on everything from marketing and content creation, to social media strategy and podcasting – she will be is busy completing her Masters degree at Kings College London.

Emma, who is due to graduate in January 2023, said: “I am so excited to be joining the team at Pilkington and learn much more about PR and communications in this new role as I have only done a small amount of marketing before.

“I’ve only been here a week and I’ve already learnt so many new skills, such as how to write design briefs, use Mailchimp to design and send out enewsletters, how to design marketing strategies and the benefits of using Canva Pro to create designs for digital marketing.”

Director of Pilkington Communications, Jessica Pilkington, said: “We are delighted to have Emma joining our team at Delapré. She brings such a nice energy and vitality to the office. Not only are we excited about training and developing Emma, but we also look forward to learning from Emma too and seeing the creative ideas she comes up with.”

Emma’s recruitment has been timed to coincide with the planning and imminent launch of a new venture for Pilkington Communications. In early July, with Emma leading on many of the PR and promotional elements, the team will be launching an exciting new venture – one aimed at supporting and upskilling charities, social enterprises and not for profit organisations.

Emma, whose recruitment was made possible thanks to the University of Bedford’s Productivity Escalator scheme, added: “I am especially excited to work on this brand-new project and to work with the rest of the team to strategise our launch and see it through from start to finish.”
