Finalist in the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards

We are thrilled to announce that we are finalists in the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards in the ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ category for our Wedding with Thanks campaign that we produced with Delapré Abbey.

During the first lockdown, many businesses were hit hard, and those in the events and hospitality sector certainly suffered. At Delapré Abbey in Northamptonshire weddings were having to be cancelled, but the Abbey’s newly recruited CEO Richard wanted to find a way to offer something positive and bring a little joy and hope into people’s lives.

That’s when we created the ‘Wedding with Thanks’ campaign where couples could enter to win the wedding of their dreams. More than 300 couples entered (turns out Northamptonshire is a very romantic county) and the final couple that won were key workers, which seemed very fitting. But more than just making one couple’s dreams come true, the campaign also substantially raised the profile of the Abbey – and the wedding bookings started coming in.

The virtual awards ceremony is taking place online on 25th February and we have booked a virtual table of ten. Joining us on the night – even though we won’t physically be sharing a table – will be some of our brilliant clients, including Sara Homer and Charlotte Patrick from Brackmills BID, Richard and Aimee from Delapré Abbey, Lorraine and Lee of The Lewis Foundation, and Kathy from Luton digital agency Clearhead.

We are sure there is going to be very tough competition in our category, and we’re very pleased to have even made it as a finalist, but please wish us the best of luck.
